The Scream is a Halloween event that SUU hosts every year. Everyone comes dressed up in costumes to the event. This year my best friend and I went as Super-Duper Sparkly Unicorns. We covered ourselves in body glitter, sparkly lashes, glitter eyeshadow, shimmery lip gloss, and of course face jewels.
At the Scream they had several activities to participate in. There was an Improv Comedy Group that performed, (I did not attend because Improv is literally my worst nightmare), a haunted house, airbrush tattoos, churros and nachos, and of course a dance.
The Haunted house at The Scream was pretty fun. I went through the Haunted House with some people who scare very easily so they were screaming at everything, which kept me laughing the whole time. I really enjoyed the Haunted House.
I did not try the churros or nachos. I honestly hate nachos, and a churro isn’t worth ruining my lipgloss for. I did not try the airbrush tattoos, there was a long line and I wasn’t into the idea of an airbrush tattoo enough to wait an hour for one.
The dance part of the Scream was super fun. There were tons of people all gathered onto the basketball court with lights and a bit of fog, dancing and screaming. The DJ was good enough, not the worst, but not the best. I honestly think a playlist can do a better job with music than a DJ can most of the time. DJ’s do add a certain "thing" to the atmosphere of a dance though. I had a ton of fun dancing.
I really enjoyed the Scream this year. The Haunted House was so thrilling, the dance was high energy and it was super fun to see everyones cute costumes. By the end of the night my legs hurt, and my voice was gone. I woke up the next morning with glitter all over my bed, and my eyes glued together with eyelash glue. Over all I think the Scream is a super successful event for SUU.
